I would like to thank the ICU Nurses, Dr. Bean, Chaplain and Baptist Lexington for the care you gave my nephew (BJ Burns) on 2nd Floor ICU North Tower. The family decided to take him off the Vent on Tuesday evening and he passed shortly after. The nurses were ROCK STARS...so caring and compassionate right up till his last breath. They even brushed his teeth and did everything to keep him as comfortable as they could. And it didn't stop there. We had a large family group and we were treated so good and everything was explained about what could/would happen when the Vent was removed and then they did everything to make him comfortable and treated him and our family with dignity and care. Thank you...you made a very difficult situation better with your care and compassion.
We've had 2 of our 3 children here and have had nothing but excellent experiences. Our most recent child was born in the new maternity area and it is a beautiful building with more amenities than I could've expected. The staff is very friendly, professional and intelligent. The cafeteria actually has really good food and the cafe is great for late night meals.
My husband recently was in ICU North Tower for just shy of 3 weeks. The care he received from the entire staff was phenomenal. Dr. Ben Newman saved his life and we will forever be grateful to this amazing Neurosurgeon. He continually stayed informed of his condition and acted upon any change in his condition no matter how minor. All of his ICU nurses; Jessica, Alyssa, Amanda, Brooke, Kayla, Haidar, Erin, Tyler, Carrie, Shara, Sadie, Leslie, and the Nurse Aides went above and beyond to ensure that that his care was never compromised. The bond between these nurses and my husband was genuine, many even visited on their days off to check on him. Hopefully the need for care at Baptist Health will not be a concern in the future, however if it arises we would never hesitate to seek care at this hospital.
I highly recommend having a child with Baptist Health.
Outstanding doctors and nursing staff. My husband and I have had nothing but superb care. Highly recommended.
It's okay. Regarding women's care/maternity area, "Some" staff aren't too great. And you receive different answers to questions from almost everyone you speak with.. confusing. Not very accurate or in sync with keeping records/info on patients (this is just from my experience). On the contrary, there are "some" staff that are truly amazing doctor's/nurses/staff! They truly want to be there & make you comfortable, calm, welcome, & safe (like your in "Good Hands" basically). But as far as communication with each other they're lacking, very badly. Also, some rules/regulations they have are ridiculous.
