Visiting our daughter and family from Denver, CO (Golden) where we have some wonderful parks for children and families. We were amazed when we took our 3 yr old grandson to Shillito park. We have never seen such a large, wonderful, and well kept playground that accomodates many ages of children. Our daughter mentioned there had been more like the playground structure at Shillito (real wood) in Lexington, but had been re-done. It must be a lot of work to keep the giant play structure in such good condition but we urge you to keep it for as long as possible!! It is amazing! The whole setting for the play area of that beautiful park!! We loved it!
Nice place for a picnic. The younger kids enjoy the playground area. While the older ones enjoy the basketball court. We've been coming here for years.
Held our company picnic here and it was the perfect spot. The playground was next to the shelter we rented as well as bathrooms which was great since we had several kids present. Well maintained park.

Great picnic shelters, beautiful views, great playgrounds. We thoroughly enjoyed our family get together at this park. All ages enjoyed the pool & the trails. The children enjoyed the playground while the adults enjoyed disc golf.
Alot of traffic as people use the road to cut through the park. Great for walking. Walking pets. Has a play ground for kids.
