Everyone likes Fayette Mall. I don't. Last time I was in it with my wife, I mentioned that this place looks more like a dedicated Clothing Mall than a true Variety Shopping Mall. I observed a high ratio of women to men.
The mall always seems to be clean and the appearance is always nice inside and out. However, it's craziness during last minute shopping!! I visited a few stores in the mall, but didn't end up purchasing anything but dipping dots. I like this mall compared to strip malls as you can visit multiple stores without getting into the weather (it was too cold outside). It always seems busy, but employees of the mall and in the stores are friendly.
I love the mall, but I wish it was 2 floors! It's hard to get around, especially when you are going to a specific store and have to walk through the entire mall to get there, because parking is always jam packed. They have a great selection of stores, in fact, I can't think of anything they don't have here! The man playing the piano makes me smile every time; he makes the atmosphere so peaceful and his playing is outstanding!
The food court has a good variety, but nothing outstanding in quality. No books stores, no gaming stores, no electronics stores, no a lot of places I would find interesting. I am a 58 year old man, and I find this mall to be mostly one dimensional. Getting in and out of can be an issue at times.
This mall is definitely above average. Overall a great shopping experience. It has a phenomenal shopping culture/ variety. I look for variety (aka bee able to find something for ANYBODY) and this mall provides that. Parking can be beyond crazy and hectic during the holiday time of year but what mall doesn't?
Huge selection and wide variety of stores! The parking can be a pain, but not bad enough to deter you from visiting. Great little play area for bored kiddos. Food court is awesome. Highly recommended!!
