Truly wonderful. Cocktails were great. Dinner was wonderful. I had the pork loin, cooked to perfection over cheese grits with a hint of smoky brought in with bacon and corn relish. My husband had the filet. I have never had sweet potatoes prepared that way but they paired very nicely with the beef. A wonderful meal to finish off a great day exploring Kentucky.

My wife and I are frequent customers and have found the restaurants that Mark Wombles owns and operates are absolutely first class. We've have always experienced wonderful, friendly and personal service not to mention outstanding food. I always bring my "out of town" business associates to Distilled and/or Heirloom when I want to provide them with a very positive and memorable dining experience in Kentucky.

The food was fairly good, but the service was shockingly poor. We were treated like second class citizens from the moment we arrived. The host greeted us apathetically and we had to wait for a table even though it was not busy. We were not offered a drink menu and had to ask for one and we were not given bread until we asked for it after noticing other tables had received some. Drinks did not arrive until after our soup and salad. After we received our bread our server told us they had made a fresh batch for us so it would be nice and hot; the bread was cold. One of us had ordered from the Lexington Eats Week menu, but one of us ordered off the full menu and was not offered a dessert menu. One of our water glasses was not clean. No excuse as the restaurant was practically empty. I would be more understanding if we had both ordered off the cheap Lexington Eats Week menu, but one of us ordered off the full price menu and we both had several drinks; not a cheap meal.

Went for NYE dinner, we went earlier so it was a little cheaper than the later reservations. Food was amazing, staff was courteous and checked in often. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely first class service. Our server was incredible in every respect - articulately describing the dishes, knowing fine details about the wine list, knowing exactly when to approach the table, and being pleasant, smart and good humored. The food was equally amazing. Ambience and overall experience totally impressive.
