I found the company in a craigslist ad for an opening in the marketing department and went and was hired. They never asked me to do sales(though I've been considering trying it for extra money), and I've been really happy here. So while I know they do lots of sales, they also hire for other stuff. It's a great place to be, I really like it.
Applied for a sales job from an online ad - not very spedific. Arrived and was handed a home made application. Seated in a small room with several other interviewees. We saw a short power-point about hours and pay that never mentioned the product being sold. When asked point blank, the presenter would only say that it was a "machine for the home that purifies the air and removes allergens." We were told to drop our applications off at the front desk and call back in the affternoon to see if we had "been approved."
If they call you don't go. It's a sales job interview. I typed in water dynamics over the internet after I got a call from them for an interview. Then I read the post below and it got me wondering. Anyway I call the lady back up to ask is this a commission only position and she says they are hiring for multiple positions ranging from management, administration, entry level, and sales jobs. What she doesn't mention the main thing (IS THAT YOU HAVE TO START OUT DOING SALES FOR A WHILE). Basically she will lie to you over the phone just to get you to waste your time going down there.
Turns out that this company sells very good but very expensive vaccuum cleaners. A fine product that they choose to conceal during the recruiting process. Several of us left without submitting our personal information to them. Your mileage may vary.
Customer service representative are no help, until you spend money... They don't ask if you need help, we didn't even get greetings,they stayed behind the register like we were going to take the register and run.
Ask her this over the phone, do you start out doing sales and if so how long does it take to move up? That is what I should have done.
They have beautiful clothing but horrible customer service and I just can't make myself go back .
