My wife and I saved money for years for this renovation and felt like we had to constantly be on them to complete things. Had to come back and tear out drywall and fix things, when they were told before drywall was up. If ask would I use them in the future, my answer is no.
Only cared about project when payment was due. Substantial completion was 4 doors left to install, drywall not complete. Stairwell was never finished, drywall and trim. Stairs were not the way we wanted them after repeatly telling them different. DDR puts the cart in front of the horse constantly, to get that next payment.
We had DDR add a master suite, including a bedroom, bathroom and walk-in closet. We were amazed at how fast the process went! Our Project Manager, Chad, was easy to work with and in constant contact with us.
They did a great job finishing our basement and making it the perfect playroom for our kids! They were able to start the project quickly, finished it in about a month and the project manager, Chris, kept me in the loop with everything throughout the process. You may be able to find someone to do the work cheaper, but the process was pretty painless (not always the case in construction) and I love the end product!
We are very pleased with the addition of the sunroom and deck to our home. Chad, our project manager, was very helpful at every step of the project. We appreciate the contractors being on time, doing quality work, and staying on task.
Distinctive Designs remodeled our basement over this past summer. A complete gut and redo, our 80+ year old home in the Chevy Chase area was no simple task. Any issues that arose, Chris our project manager and his team where always available to resolve them as quickly as possible. I do think that they had taken on too many jobs and were a bit spread thin with work load, this lead to our 4-6 week project (original estimated time frame) being completed in 4-5 months, vacation delays included. They did a fantastic job and we love having a finished basement to retreat too. With competitive prices, and I definitely would recommend them to others.
