This place was traumatic for me. I tried to kill myself on day 1, and all I did was knock myself out for 8 hours.
I have been trying for two weeks to address this issue for her and get nothing but a run around. Pam S. in billing never answers the phone, rarely calls back and when she does she refuses to give her full name and is incapable of explaining what the charges cover other than "room and board". Ms Hancock, the business office manager, does not answer her phone either and does not return calls. I have asked to be connected to a Facility manager/director, Facility Administrator, Head Nurse, Physician in charge and numerous other positions of authority and I am always sent to the voice mail for Ms Terry/Sherry Hancock. This place does not seem to be very professional and based upon my daughter, doesn't provide any quality mental/medical care either.
This place is a joke for people who need help. You will wait hours and hours to get in even when you have a scheduled appointment. I watched people driving high speeds through the parking lot in frustration trying to get in for help. One lady had a 4:30pm appointment and was not seen until 9pm. We had an appointment at 6 pm and still at 9:30 we had not been seen. along with our 6pm appointment two others were scheduled. Left and sought help elsewhere ... no waiting time. Advice...when an addict is ready and willing could u not make them wait!
(I smashed my head on the wall in the QA room.) I think that was it, it's been a while since I was there.
if anything, this place will make you worse. one of the nurses admitted to me that they keep people for insurance. they do absolutely nothing , it’s similar to a jail. ( i didn’t eat for days because the food was so gross) AND YALL RIDGE WORKERS ARE LUCKY YOU DIDNT GET THESE HANDS!!
Wish I could give a zero star! They are unprofessional and unethical. My niece was in treatment and they discharged her because she got into a fight with another patient! Hello! She’s there for a reason! They discharged a 16 year old on a Saturday with NO notice! The family had NO time to prepare. There was NO discharge meeting. The school couldn’t be involved. So if you’re a teen and want out of rehab just get into a fight and you’re free to continue making horrible mistakes and endangering your life. At least you won’t be a problem for the ridge staff. This place and their conduct should be investigated.
The staff criticized me for loving and missing my family.
My daughter was taken there by her college for possible suicide threat. The next thing we know she has been admitted and was kept for 7 days. She stated that she was led to believe she had no choice and could not refuse or check out at any time. Stated that she spent the whole 7 days coloring and watching tv, pills twice a day and 30 minutes of group. She (college student with no job) was then sent a bill for $12,000.
Hopefully our attorney will be able to resolve the problem since I have not been able to get any response.
It was scary, I didn't get to see the outside work for a long time and the separation from my family was bad.
