I did happen to walk over to their fish department, I have a 40 gallon goldfish tank thinking of upgrading, and wow the selection! Such beautiful clean tanks! So bright and beautiful fish! Everyone greeted me and asked if I needed assistance, I thanked them and said I was just browsing, and they let me know they will be available if I have any questions. Pleasant environment!
If you take your dog to their grooming for a thorough bath service, ask for Michelle. Never have I met an individual with such a love for animals! So very compassionate and patient. I would only ask HER to bathe my beloved pups! Very impressed with their services.
Rude staff refused to sell me a turtle because they thought I was lying about having a proper habitat at home. Of course, if I was willing to purchase all new equipment there, then I would be allowed to buy the freaking turtle. I just drove to the store in nicholasville and got the same animal without the sanctimonious third degree.
Great selection. They are an auxiliary adoption site for our local Humane Society. Friendly staff.
You are better off grooming your dog on your own than bringing him here. And believe it or not, it would probably be less of a hassle. They never complete all of the services you pay for and they always take forever.
Pet smart is very friendly and well stocked. I love seeing everyone and their pets. I'd give them a 4star if it weren't for the grooming. I took my dog there 4times, well 3 because I canceled my fourth and never went back. Every visit they'd do the same haircut but it's get more expensive each time. I asked why it changed so often and their response was that his breed kept getting changed in the computer. I was put in a a wire hair jack Russell, im not sure of the in between but he ended up being listed as a snauzer. Which is roughly $10 more than before. I know $10 usually isn't enough to raise a fuss but they were already more expensive than some of their competitors.
