Traditional Kentucky hotel, what I expected being from out of town. It has been renovated but still has the historical feel to it. Rooms are big in size. Shower has great pressure and temperature. The only thing negative was no mini fridge to cool my beer and microwave also. Staff was very friendly and upgraded my room for being a Hilton honors diamond member.
Staff was friendly and rooms were very clean and bed was comfortable. However, there is only one elevator, in a very poor location, which means carrying everything up the stairs. Difficult if you are an older couple. Rooms are attractive but small and very dark. Bathroom is tiny.
Overall, it’s a beautiful historic hotel with plenty ghost stories of its own, just make sure you don’t read them before you go to bed! The hotel went under a massive renovation and you can definitely tell, but there are a few details that should be taken care of. The paint is coming off the tiles in the shower, one of windows was extremely dirty, and my bed was not aligned properly with the headrest, therefore there was a gap that the pillows and other garbage had fallen previously. The hallway to the rooms are brown and a bit dark. The indoor pool is nice. It has a basic gym. Breakfast is not included!!!
Very nice hotel, but with lack of communication was unpleasing. Also they double charged us for our hotel room. We reserved this hotel because of the indoor pool. They did not tell us the pool was out of service. My kids had nothing to do, as this was the reason we picked this hotel. The last hotel we picked called us prior to check to let us know their pool was broken, so we switched. The same courtesy would’ve been nice. Beds are comfy. Room is nice but had a few areas not cleaned. Would return and hoping the experience was better.
Pretty historic hotel. There's a nice fireplace as soon as you enter. Staff is friendly. But hotel can be maintained a little better
