BUT, I will say we had tried to make reservations for 8 people, which the gal (who SAID she was new) stated they had another group reserve an hour and a half before..odd. One would think that's plenty of time, but she said she wanted to be safe. So we reserved for the following hour and showed up. Nobody at the table. So we thought we'd get that downstairs table (since both my parents have walking problems, same level is best). Nope. They send us upstairs a long flight and she says she made a mistake and she has ANOTHER reservation in our place that she had to give the table to. She must've thought we were idiots, because the whole night, the table was absolutely free. Even over after almost 2hrs when we left, not cool. Aside from this..totally AMAZING food, but I'm afraid this warrants a knock in review. Totally uncalled for and unprofessional treatment. I hope this isn't the regular treatment by the hosting staff..otherwise, we won't be venturing back anytime soon.
Fantastic food, savory and so unique in flavor and preparation. Down to the ketchup (which has a mesquite/creasote flavor which is so good). The server, Alan, was a great guy and cannot say enough good things about the B.E.L.T.!
Good food very odd experience. Strange concepts they print the menus on paper on a clip board. We came on a delivery day they where taking stock threw the dinning area and it was very cold outside and with the doors being opened it was getting cold in the dining room as well. Can't reccemend this place it was just to odd a visit.
Best compliment that I can give - consistently excellent choices, flavor combos and cocktails. We do not get down here as often as I would like. However, we have been coming since they opened. We have never been let down by any of the dishes or cocktails. They also have an extensive and excellent Bourbon and craft beer election.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is one of my favorite places I've ever eaten. Atmosphere was great! Bartender made potentially the best Bloody Mary on earth! And the menu was loaded with so many awesome choices that I couldn't decide. I put My decision in the bartender's hands, and she ordered me the Duck and Waffles. At first, I wasn't thrilled with her choice, but when it arrived, it was perfection. The balance of flavor was amazing!!! As I looked around, when other guest's food arrived, everything looked amazing. DON'T VISIT LEXUNGTON WITHOUT EATING THERE! Food, drinks, and atmosphere were absolutely amazing, and the service was good. It was super busy and maybe a little slower than some places.........but I didn't want to leave anyway!!!! Props to the people that run this place for doing things RIGHT!!!!!
By the way, I eat out probably 200 times a year and I've never left a review before. This place deserves it!!!!
Cannot say enough good things. Staff efficient and friendly. Food was innovative and delicious. Got to speak with the head chef and you could feel her passion. I could drink the smoked ketchup...so good! Will definitely be back.
