Went in for lunch at about 1 and the place wasn't crowed. Our server was decent but the wait on our food took at least an hour. By the time our food arrived, the fries and other sides were cold, the ribs were dry and overcooked and we weren't even that hungry anymore. It's no wonder this chain seems to be going out of business and closing some locations down.
We went in for a birthday party a few days ago. We let our waitress know that it was one of our friend's birthday before our food was brought out, she said they do not sing but she could bring out a dessert and we could sing. We agreed. After we paid we reminded her again and she said she had forgot and she would take care of it, but never returned to our table.
Always have a great time and great experience at Applebee's. Food was delivered in a reasonable time and is always fresh from the oven or skillet.
Alas, this restaurant was flat-out understaffed on the evening we were there. We were there for an early dinner, it was not busy at all and it was 45 minutes before our meal arrived. The waitress pleasant and clearly doing the best she could. The food was good I thought and served hot. But the overall service was just out of control. Two and a half stars.
Excellent service all around. The hostess, waiters/waitresses and the manager were really nice. The food was cooked perfect and the wait wasn't bad at all.
