I ordered an entire living room set August 2nd (at an incredible price, I should add) and was told it would be delivered around the 15th of August. It was delivered to my doorstep on August 13th, and two nice guys brought everything in, set it up how I wanted it and even took some of my old furniture to the curb for me. Excellent service, all the way around. I have recommended this store to friends and family and have heard no bad results from anyone I know.
One of the worst experiences ever!. I bought a bar table on Sunday July 10, and was told the table would be ordered on Monday and i should have it by Friday or Monday the 18th, the latest. Well, i called on Saturday 16 to find out if my table had come yet and was told that it did not. On Tuesday the 19th (one day after the last day i was supposed to get my table) i received a phone call, saying my table was back ordered so either i waited until the end of the month or chose a different one. I went to the store on 7/20, and chose a different table that, according to the owner that it was a matter of 4 days for me to get it. Well, today is 7/29, no table, no calls. I call the store, and the owner barely talks to me, saying he has another costumer so he will call me back. After 4 hours of waiting, i decide to call again and no one answers the phone. I decide to call from a different phone and then the owner answers, saying he does not know where my table is. I tell him i waited for almost 3 weeks, so now i want a refund since i have people invited to my house tomorrow so i need to go find a bar table tomorrow morning. To this, he replies that he has no control over refunds because he just sells furniture by catalog, so he does not know about the refund policies. So here i am, almost 3 weeks after i payed (and got the money deducted from my bank account) and still no table, without any information of where it is and no refund possibilities. My suggestion, do not buy things from ROYAL FURNITURE in Lexington, KY.
Well I haven't actually purchased any furniture from there however I am opening a salon and the owner of Royal Furniture also does upholstery. I am having my salon chairs reupholstered and he has been so helpful and a GREAT price. He promised a fast turn around and quality work. I will update my review once I receive my chairs. By the way, the pieces in this store are FAB. If you are looking for conversation pieces or elegant furniture... Check them out
I forgot to say that when i said that i would still like to wait until the end of the month for my first table, and asked exactly which day that would be (knowing on the 30th i had people coming over my house), then the owner told me it was actually not the end of THIS month but the end of NEXT MONTH!... i should have asked for a refund back then!....
One of the most unique furniture stores in the Lexington area, nothing cookie cutter, items that stand out above any others...No high pressure salesman, just honest and good people from the owner to delivery people. You must visit this store, I don't have the words to describe their items..anything from ultra-modern to early american..sure you won't be dissapointed, I wasn't
Searched all over Lexington and couldn't find a thing that I liked, even with all of the high pressure salesmen... Came here and Bob helped me find exactly what I was looking for (with no pressure to buy anything). The item came in within a few days, it was assembled and he helped me load it into my truck. I wouldn't recommend anywhere else. Oh, and you couldn't beat the price. Trust me, I looked all over.
