We were pleasantly surprised by our room. Some other recent reviews mentioned quality problems but our room was spacious and clean. There was a slight odor of cleaning products, about what you'd expect.
Absolutely worst Marriott I have ever stayed at. I am writing this as it is 1 am and not only was management unresponsive to a basketball team knocking on doors all the room doors were propped open due to construction. As I went to check in , my room was unlocked and open as were all the rooms in the floor.
I want to start by saying that nothing about our stay itself was unsatisfactory. The rooms were nice and clean with modern features, and the continental breakfast was on point. The reason I took off stars is because we had blocked off rooms for a wedding and found as the day approached that the rates for our block reservation were considerably more extensive than if a room were reserved by any other means. It felt pretty lousy convincing our wedding party to spend an extra $80 on their two-night stay so that we weren't on the hook for any unclaimed rooms (rates were $40/night cheaper online) Live and learn I guess.
Stayed here 1 night for a wedding. The room was acceptably clean, but had a decently strong smell you had to get used to. The bed was a bit hard and the pillows too flat so did not get great sleep. Breakfast was fairly standard, but the sausage was a bit too dry. I also had eggs and salsa, which was passable.
I do have a gripe about the location, which is on a busy street with poor sight lines. Taking a left out of the shared driveway is difficult. You have to pop across two lanes of left-coming traffic into the center 'turning' lane, then merge with to right-coming traffic.
They have a pool and a hot tub. The pool is pretty small, just enough for a family to play in but you're not going to be doing laps, even if you're by yourself. The hot tub was small but comfortable.
Starting with the good; the staff was great. Rooms were a large size. The not good part; the HVAC unit never stopped cycling on and off. All night long. There is a serious need for a better maintenance team and upkeep. I have never had a rusty tub in a hotel. Peeling paint all over in the bathrom. The fire alarm went off twice at 2:38 a.m. Loud and inside our room. Gathered ourselves and our Son, and it stopped. Then, it goes off again, and stopped. Never did we hear from the front desk about an all clear or if it was good to go.
The room is pretty big and has a neat layout. It's divided into a bedroom and sitting room. They've also taken the standard-issue microwave, fridge, and coffee maker, added a small sink, and made a kitchenette.
